  • Installation of Kemper Waterproof

  • Installation of Expansion Joints

Owner: Yale University

Yale Bowl was built in 1914 and seats over 60,000.  It is home to the Yale University football team and also hosted the New York Giants from 1973-1974.  It is currently the third largest stadium by capacity.  Many of the outside retaining walls and portal entries were deteriorating. However, in the spring and summer of 2006, the bowl underwent a partial renovation, which was finished just in time for the Yale home-opener on Saturday, September 16, 2006.

G.L. Capasso Inc. was awarded the contract to waterproof the outside ring walls with Kemper waterproof and also replace all of the joint sealant and expansion joints within the stadium.  With a fast track schedule, the Crews worked tirelessly installing new Kemper Waterproof Coatings as well as new joint sealants and expansion joints. We were pleased to be a part of this project and look forward to performing more work for Yale University in the future.
